Where to stay in Quy Nhon
Quy Nhon is a long coastline, not one resort strip. The city beach has town life behind it. The southern coast around Ghenh Rang and Bai Dai has resorts and quieter bays. Bai Xep is a fishing village south of the city. Ky Co has a resort inside the beach area, and the northern coast near Cat Tien and Trung Luong has beachfront bungalows.
This is an independent guide, not run by a hotel, a booking site or a tour company. The hotels named below are examples of what exists in each area, not a ranking. Rates change with the season and with repairs after storms, so compare current rates, taxes and service charges before you book.

Hotel addresses now read Quy Nhon Nam or Quy Nhon Dong, Gia Lai. Since 1 July 2025, Binh Dinh and Gia Lai form the province of Gia Lai, with its administrative center in the former Quy Nhon. Older listings may still say Binh Dinh.

City beach: the easy base
The central beach is about 5 km of sand with a promenade and cycling route beside it. Anya Premier Beachfront Hotel at 44 An Duong Vuong is one hotel here. It lists 37 km and about 45 minutes from the airport, and 12 km and 20 minutes from Dieu Tri station.
This is the area for people who want restaurants and street food within walking distance. It is also the easiest base for tower visits and the Ghenh Rang coast. Beach conditions vary by stretch, so read the notes on the beaches page about currents and flags before you swim.
South of the city: Ghenh Rang, Bai Dai and Bai Xep
Resort stays on the coast south of the center.
Two resorts here list addresses in Quy Nhon Nam, Gia Lai: Avani Quy Nhon Resort and Anantara Quy Nhon Villas. Avani lists about 50 minutes from the airport and sells a private car transfer for VND 900,000 per direction (about $36), seating up to 4 guests with luggage, with booking at least 24 hours ahead. Its station transfer from Dieu Tri is VND 600,000 per direction (about $24). These are one resort's own prices.
Anantara's factsheet from May 2025 describes the fishing village of Bai Xep as reachable on foot along the beach, and about 15 minutes by car from the city center. Expect a distance of 10 to 12 km, depending on the start and end points. This is Bai Xep near Quy Nhon, not the beach of the same name in Phu Yen. For that one see Bai Xep in Phu Yen.

Ky Co and the north coast
Ky Co is not a bare island. The operator of the Ky Co Quy Nhon Resort describes it inside the tourism area, with 15 villa groups and 59 rooms. Check-in is at 14:00 and check-out at 12:00. Staying here puts you at the beach for the early hours, but you still depend on the access road, the shuttle and the weather. Details are on the Ky Co page.
On the northern coast, Crown Retreat Quy Nhon lists an address at Trung Luong, Cat Tien, with beachfront bungalows and a pool. It is a hotel, not the separate camping park near Trung Luong, which was listed as temporarily closed after a storm.
