Eo Gio at a glance
Eo Gio is a stretch of cliffs and sea views near the fishing village of Nhon Ly, on the Phuong Mai side of the peninsula. Since 1 July 2025 the area belongs to the Quy Nhon Dong ward. A tourist path with steps runs along the coast. The national tourism description puts hiking and looking ahead of swimming, so plan Eo Gio as a walk and not as a beach day.
Most visitors pair it with Ky Co, because the road to both starts at Nhon Ly. Day tours often combine the two. You can also go on your own and keep the day flexible.
Eo Gio tickets in 2026
The price changed several times this year. The amounts below are reports, not a gate tariff.
A new operator took over the site on 1 June 2026. A press report announced a rise to VND 50,000 (about $2) from 15 June. On 27 June 2026 the same newspaper reported a reduction to VND 30,000 (about $1.20) per visit. Travel guides still show older or different numbers.

Do not rely on a single number. Ask at the gate what you pay and what it covers. One guide says children under 1.2 m usually enter free, but confirm that before you count on it. The same guide lists parking at VND 10,000 to 30,000 (about $0.40 to $1.20) per vehicle. That is a rough range, not an official fee.

Walking the cliff path
The path follows the rocky coast and offers wide views of the open sea. It works as a short stop or as a slow walk with photo breaks. Wear shoes with a good sole. The steps get slippery when wet, and wind can be strong on exposed points.
Keep well back from the edge, stay on the marked path and skip the cliffs in rough weather or right after heavy rain. If a storm warning is in force, follow local instructions. The path includes steps, so check the route first if you travel with a stroller or have limited mobility.
Check the opening hours before you go. One guide gives 07:00 to 19:00 daily for Eo Gio and Ky Co together. Treat that as a guide, not a promise, and do not plan on staying until dusk without checking at the gate. Sunset time changes through the year, and there is no guarantee the path stays open until dark.

Eo Gio sits on the northeast coast of the Quy Nhon area.
Route
The road to Nhon Ly crosses the Thi Nai bridge. From Nhon Ly the coast road continues to Eo Gio. Ky Co lies about 25 km northeast of the former city center and is reached from Nhon Ly by boat or by a mountain road.

Combine Eo Gio with the beach in one day. One travel agency describes a compulsory shuttle for the steep last descent to Ky Co, so do not expect to ride a scooter down to the sand. The details are on the Ky Co page.

The 1991 to 2020 climate normal for Quy Nhon shows February and March as the driest months, at about 30 mm and 26 mm of rain. October and November are the wettest, with about 492 mm and 533 mm. Storms can hit the coast from May to November, according to the UK foreign office. In early November 2025 a storm caused damage to roofs, shops and coastal facilities in Quy Nhon, so check the weather before a cliff walk in autumn.
